FAQs

What does club membership cost?

  • Membership costs vary depending on the plan you choose. Visit our pricing page to find the option that best fits your lifestyle.

What long does my membership last?

  • Your membership is a Limited Lifetime Membership. As long as your monthly dues are current, you’ll enjoy full access to all the perks of Inland Boat Club membership.

Do you provide training?

  • Absolutely. Every member receives orientation and in-depth training when joining the club, with additional instruction available upon request.

Can I use more than my allotted days?

  • As long as the schedule allows and we have boats available, you can pay for additional boat days if you have used all of your allotted days.

How do drop-in days work?

  • You have a set number of reservable days each year. If you run out of days in a month, you can pull from your remaining annual days if boats are available. Drop-in reservations may be made for same-week boating starting Monday, subject to availability. Check the schedule and call our office to confirm.

Can I sell or transfer my membership?

  • Yes, memberships may be sold or transferred as long as your fees are paid in full for the year. There is a transfer fee, which may be paid by the new member. To begin the process, contact one of our Scheduling Coordinators.

Do I need a truck to use the boats?

  • Members are responsible for launching and retrieving boats. If you are unable to tow, valet services are available for an additional fee.

When can I schedule my reservation?

  • Reservations for each boating season open on February 1. Once your membership contract is complete, you’ll receive access to our online scheduling system

How does the reservation system work?

  • Our online platform makes it simple to book boats anytime, from any device. With real-time availability and intuitive scheduling, your next adventure is only a few clicks away.

How can Inland Boat Club guarantee that I can use my day allotment?

  • We want all our boats in use, bringing happiness to our members. To ensure our members are using the boats, we keep our member-to-boat ratio low. We have seven years of experience and a scheduling algorithm that protects spontaneity and all club usage.

What equipment is included on each club boat?

  • Every boat comes fully equipped with more than $4,000 worth of gear, including wakeboards, surfboards, ropes, pumps, and safety equipment. Just bring your family, your favorite food and drinks, towels, and properly fitting neoprene life jackets.

Am I responsible for cleaning the boat?

  • Yes. Members are expected to wipe down both the interior and exterior of the boat, remove trash, and take personal belongings at the end of each outing.

Do I need to refuel the boat?

  • Yes, members must return boats with a full tank of 91-octane fuel. If you use valet service, our staff will handle refueling for you, though you’ll still pay the cost of fuel.

Should I leave the boat running whenever it’s in the water?

  • No. Please turn off the motor while waiting for guests, during swim time, or when filling or draining ballast tanks. Each boat is equipped with two batteries to ensure functionality without keeping the engine on.

Who can operate a club boat?

  • A member must be present on board, but anyone legally qualified and experienced may operate the boat. The member is always responsible for the boat and must ensure that all operators follow state and federal marine laws.

Do my guests need to sign a liability waiver?

  • No, guests do not sign waivers individually. Instead, members sign either an electronic liability release for each outing or a perpetual liability release covering the entire season, which extends to everyone on board.

Who is required to wear a life jacket on the club boat?

  • Life jacket requirements vary by state. For example, Utah law requires at least one Coast Guard-approved life jacket per passenger, with all persons 12 and under wearing a properly fitted jacket at all times while the boat is in operation. Anyone being towed must also wear a life jacket. Please check local laws for your boating location.

Can I drink alcohol while driving the boat?

  • Operating a boat while impaired by alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited. Any member found doing so will have their membership revoked immediately and will be permanently banned. Safety is always our top priority.

What happens if I damage the boat while in my possession?

  • If an accident occurs, your first priority is safety. Then contact Inland Boat Club right away for assistance. Boats needing repair must be returned to our main location in Lindon as soon as possible.

How does damage coverage work?

  • Each member pays a $500 “No Worries Boating” fee each season, which helps cover incidental damage. In the event of serious damage or an accident, members are responsible for an $1,800 deductible per incident, which covers up to $10,000 in damages.
